Sinagtala Battalion, AAR and CRT Collaborates in Tree Planting Activity in Nueva Ecija

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – The 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division were tapped by the Army Artillery Regiment (AAR) and College for Research and Technology (CRT) together with the students, teachers, and officers for their tree planting activity at Barangay Sagana, Laur, Nueva Ecija on October 05, 2022.
The tree planting activity was initiated by the CRT headed by Dr Renato C Arimbuyutan, College President of CRT as part of the school’s greening program, a total of 100 seedlings of fruit berry trees were planted during the said activity.
The Alpha Company of 91st IB led by Sergeant Reynaldo De Guzman provided security assistance during the tree planting activity together with the personnel of AAR led by Colonel Francis Anthony M. Coronel, AAR Commander.
In his statement, Lieutenant Colonel Julito B Recto Jr, stated that providing security assistance is one of the commitments in contributing to any organization which continually displays their commitment towards the preservation and environmental protection and even in the fight against climate change, helping the community to protect and conserve the natural resources within the unit’s the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Meanwhile, Major General Andrew D Costelo, Commander of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division that the Philippine Army is taking added responsibility to support anyone who needs the institution’s assistance.
“A simple humanitarian act can make significant changes to a better world. Let us also protect and conserve our environment,” MGen Costelo added.
