SAF 44 remembered

CAMP OLIVAS, CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA- Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) commemorated the heroism of the 44 SAF troopers who died in the clash between terrorist groups in Mamasapano, Maguindanao 6 years ago. 
 
On Tuesday morning, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the PRO3 Heroes’ Monument, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga with Area Police Command-Northern Luzon Commander  PLtGen Marni Marcos ably represented by PMGen Domingo Cabillan, Deputy Commander, APC-NL as the lead offeror with the presence of the families and loved ones of Gallant SAF 44, PNP killed in police operations, and PNP personnel who died due to COVID-19. 

The activity was highlighted with the  PNP Chief PGen Dionardo Carlos’ message read by Marcos. 

“Their heroism will continue to serve as the beacon of light for all of us and a guiding instrument of achieving lasting peace and order in our country,” PRO3 Regional Director PBGen Mathew Baccay remarked during the program.
 
In Bulacan, Col Rommel Ochave, Bulacan police acting provincial director led the men and women of Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) in commerating the Gallantry and Heroism of SAF 44. 

Same event was held simultaneously in all regional police offices nationwide.

A mass officiated by Rev Fr PLtCol Heintje Canete was also done in honor of the SAF 44.
