ROBBERY HOLD-UP SUSPECT NUETRALIZED

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A man was neutralized in a robbery incident that transpired in Malamig, Bustos, Bulacan on February 15, 2022 at about 2:30 in the morning.

PCol. Rommel Ochave, Acting Bulacan Police Provincial Director identified the neutralized suspect as Edgardo Lora Jr, resident of BLVD St. Ala-Uli, Pilar, Bataan.

Investigation revealed that while the victim was on-board his driven vehicle and park in front of a store, the suspect approached him and pointed a gun, declared hold-up and forcibly took his sling bag containing cash amounting to twenty thousand pesos (Php 20,000.00) and fled using his motorcycle.

Upon receipt of the information, flash alarm was immediately made and a hot pursuit operation was conducted by joint elements of Bustos MPS and PIU Bulacan PPO. Incidentally, said motorcycle was flagged down at by-pass road in Brgy. Bonga Menor but didn’t stop instead sped off and fired towards the police operatives prompting them to retaliate that resulted to armed encounter and death of the suspect.

Recovered from the scene were cal .9mm pistol inserted with magazine loaded with four (4) pcs live ammunitions, nine (9) pcs cartridge cases of cal .9mm and from the possession of the neutralized are his black sling bag containing wallet, driver’s license ID, and the small camouflage sling bag owned by the victim containing cash money.

Bulacan PNP assures the public that they are safeguarded against these groups or individuals that escalate fear and violence within our community.
