PRO3 Launches JBM Fit Cops Challenge for Healthier and Stronger Personnel

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) formally launched the Journey to Better Me (JBM) Fit Cops Challenge on June 18, 2026, at the Makatao Activity Center, Camp Captain Julian Olivas, as part of its continuing efforts to promote health and wellness among its personnel.

The program brought together plus-size personnel from the PRO3 Regional Headquarters and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3. PCOL Reynaldo S. Ogay Jr., Acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration, joined the launch and expressed support for the initiative.

More than a fitness challenge, the JBM Fit Cops Challenge encourages participants to embrace healthier habits, stay physically active, and make lasting lifestyle changes that can improve both their personal well-being and professional performance. Following its regional launch, the program is also being implemented in all Provincial Police Offices (PPOs) and City Police Offices (CPOs) across Central Luzon.

PBGEN Jess B Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, emphasized that taking care of one’s health is an important part of police service.

“The JBM Fit Cops Challenge is not just about fitness or losing weight. It is about making a commitment to become better each day. When we invest in our health, we become stronger, more resilient, and better prepared to serve our communities. I encourage everyone taking part in this challenge to stay focused on their goals and make this journey a meaningful step toward personal growth,” PBGEN Mendez said.

The initiative reflects PRO3’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel, recognizing that a healthy and motivated police force is better equipped to deliver quality service and ensure the safety and security of the public.
