Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) closed its August campaign against wanted persons with 1,215 arrests, meeting its operational target following sustained manhunt operations and service of warrants across Central Luzon.
The final accomplishment, reported by the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), builds on the 1,082 wanted persons arrested from August 1 to 26, as police stations and operating units continued their operations through the remaining days of the month.
The campaign was anchored on PRO3’s “Own the Project” principle, which placed greater responsibility on Chiefs of Police to take ownership of the manhunt effort in their respective areas.
Police chiefs were expected to actively account for wanted persons, strengthen intelligence gathering and coordination, and ensure the timely service of outstanding warrants.
PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jess B Mendez said the August accomplishment demonstrates what can be achieved when commanders take responsibility for their targets and translate that responsibility into action.
“The 1,215 arrests show what we can accomplish when every unit owns its responsibility and delivers. But meeting the target does not mean the work stops here. We will sustain our manhunt operations because every warrant served brings a pending case forward and brings victims and their families a step closer to justice,” PBGEN Mendez said.
He emphasized that the August results should serve as momentum for police units to further strengthen their efforts rather than become complacent with the numbers already achieved.
PRO3 will continue its intelligence-driven manhunt operations, complemented by the JBM Patrol System, which strengthens police visibility, community engagement, and information sharing at the barangay level.
The sustained campaign also supports the direction of Chief, PNP PGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr. toward stronger police operations and Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman for communities across Central Luzon.
