Police orders investigation of municipal consultant’s slay

The police force is investigating the killing of San Rafael, Bulacan municipal consultant  who was shot dead by riding-in tandem in Cagayan Valley Road in Barangay Sampaloc, San Rafael town on Monday morning.
 
Police Provincial Office (PPO) director Col. Relly Arnedo has ordered PLt. Col. Isagani Enriquez, Acting Chief of Police of San Rafael Police Station, to conduct an “in-depth and thorough investigation” into the killing of John Emerson, 33, consultant for internal affairs of the Local Government of San Rafael, Bulacan.
 
Emerson while on board a Toyota Avanza with plate number NDC 4879 was shot dead by an unidentified riding-in-tandem while on his way to attend the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony at about 7:50AM.
 
He was on his way to work together with two others identified as Concepcion Sherine Gonzales and one Corazon Zafra when they were waylaid by riding assassins. The two passengers were unhurt.
 
The assailants onboard a blue MIO motorcycle with an unknown license plate suddenly stopped on the driver’s side of the car and shot the victim several times with an unknown firearm and fled towards direction of San Ildefonso town.
 
The victim was rushed to Ace Medical Center in Baliuag City for medical treatment but later pronounced dead by an attending physician.
 
Arnedo ordered San Rafael Police chief to exert all means for the speedy identification and apprehension of the suspects as per directive of San Rafael mayor Cholo Violago who strongly condemned the killing.
