CITY OF MALOLOS- Several departments of the Provincial Government of Ifugao visited the Provincial Government of Bulacan to benchmark on various information systems used in the province including the Real Property Tax Information System, Financial Management Information System, and Human Resource Information System on Thursday, November 28.
Delegations from Ifugao were headed by Provincial Treasurer Martha U. Ballangi, Provincial Accountant Charles P. Baguilat, and Provincial Assessor Glenn Lamag were welcomed, toured, and assisted by the department heads from Bulacan including Provincial Assessor Arch. Rodello C. Robles, Provincial Accountant Marites C. Friginal, Provincial Treasurer Atty. Maria Teresa L. Camacho, Provincial Assistant Treasurer Engr. Miriam T. San Diego, and Provincial Information Technology Office Department Head Engr. Rhea Liza Valerio.
According to Ballangi, the information systems of their local government unit is currently being developed and they hope to learn from other provinces who are already using the systems for a long time.
“Why not visit Bulacan who has all the systems in place to benchmark with the best. It is such a great privilege for Team Ifugao. We have not made a mistake to choose you and we hope by now we already established a sisterhood. We count on you to help us,” Ballangi stated.
Professor Edel Guiza, a consultant of PG Ifugao, former consultant of PG Bulacan, and former head of the National Food Authority, National Irrigation Administration, Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority, and the Philippine Coconut Authority bridged the benchmarking event between the two provinces.
