P2.8M worth of marijuana seized, 2 suspects arrested

Camp General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — An estimated P2.8 million worth of dried marijuana leaves were seized wherein two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Panasahan, City of Malolos, Bulacan on Saturday.

PCol. Rommel Ochave, Acting Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP identified the arrested suspects as John Archie Sabado, 32 years old, resident of Bongabon, Nueva Ecija; and a 17-year old minor from San Andres, Cainta, Rizal.

The buy-bust operation was conducted by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of Malolos City Police Station (CPS) under the command of PLtCol. Christopher Leano resulted in the arrest of both suspects.
The suspects were caught in the act of selling a large brick of suspected dried marijuana leaves to a police poseur buyer.

Confiscated were a total of 20 bricks of suspected dried leaves of marijuana with a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of two million eight hundred thousand pesos, cellphones, vehicle and buy-bust money.

An appropriate criminal complaint against the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing in court while minor suspect was turn-over to Malolos CSWDO for custody and proper disposition.
