P13.9-M shabu seized in Bulacan police drug bust

CAMP General Alejo S Santos City of Malolos — Joint operatives of the Marilao Police Station and Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of the Provincial Police Office (BulPPO) conducted an anti-illegal drug operation that resulted in the seizure of an estimated P13,9 million worth of shabu and arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Brgy. Loma De Gato, Marilao, Bulacan on Thursday, January 25, 2023.
PCol Relly Arnedo, provincial director of BulPPO identified the suspect as Marlon Palmario, 44, of Novaliches, Caloocan City.
 He was arrested while in the act of selling one  medium-sized, knot-tied, transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer around 11:20 in the evening.
Confiscated from suspect’s possession were the buy- bust item, along with two packs of high grade suspected shabu inside a Chinese tea bag with a total estimated weight of 2,050.0 grams and a street value of P13,940,000.00 and sixty-seven pieces of one-thousand-peso bill boodle money.
Arnedo said, the arrested suspect and the confiscated illegal drugs were brought to Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while an appropriate criminal complaint against the suspect is now being prepared for filing in court.
“The Bulacan PPO is steadfast in its pursuit of drug offenders and puts them behind bars of justice in accordance with the Chief PNP’s directive, which was made clear by the PNP Region 3 Director, PBGen Cesar Pasiwen, as part of its relentless campaign against illegal drugs,” Arnedo said.
