CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan — The Bulacan PNP arrested an Omnibus Election Code (OEC) violator and a drug peddler on October 27, 2023.
In a report submitted to PCol Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO, in Angat, Bulacan, a 34-year-old male suspect of Brgy. Sto Cristo, Angat, was arrested for violation of R.A. 9165 and the Omnibus Election Code (OEC). The incident occurred at Brgy. Encanto, Angat, around 10:10 in the evening of October 27, 2023.
Based on the report of the Angat MPS, the male suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the Angat MPS after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer. Confiscated from the suspect were a total of three (3) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 2.100 grams, a standard drug price value of fourteen thousand two hundred eighty pesos (Php 14,280.00), buy-bust money, and one (1) Smith and Wesson Magnum.357 without serial number loaded with six (6) live ammunitions.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of the Omnibus Election Code and R.A. 9165 against the suspects is now being prepared for filing in court.
The Bulacan PNP continues to strengthen its implementation of the Omnibus Election Code and its anti-criminality campaign to eliminate threats to the community as the election period moves forward.
