Invest in Bulacan, pleas Governor Fernando
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando insisted that now is the time to invest in the province as he encouraged the business sectors here to help each other to attract investors.
 
“With all the major development plans and business opportunities in our province, I can also proudly say that the time to invest in the province of Bulacan is now. Let’s join hands in making Bulacan the center of economic development in our country,” Fernando’s message to the Bulakenyo business owners, entrepreneurs and stakeholders who attended the First BCCI Governor’s Ball at the Grand Hyatt Manila, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City last Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

The Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) with the support of the Provincial Government of Bulacan conducted the ball dubbed as “Bulacan is Rising” in an aim to boost the business sector in the province as well as to celebrate its longtime partnership in implementing developmental programs for the Bulakenyos.

Ma. Cristina C. Tuzon, BCCI Chairman of the Board of Trustees, led the presentation of BCCI’s fund-raising projects wherein some of the entrepreneurs who attended pledged their financial support to sustain the projects of the organization in promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Bulacan and strengthening public and private partnership in working towards economic development.
 
Fernando also highlighted the awards that the province has received including Hall of Fame Award for Local Revenue Generation from the Department of Finance – Bureau of Local Government Finance, Most Business-Friendly LGU Award and landed 10th place on Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Summit of the Department of Trade and Industry thus showing that the PGB is exerting all its efforts to create a business-friendly province.

“Dahil po sa patuloy nating pagkakapit-bisig, nananatili pong nasa rurok ng pananagumpay ang ating sektor ng industriya at ekonomiya sa Bulacan. Patunay na po ang mga parangal na ating nakamit. Atin pong ibinabalik ang mga ito sa ating mga minamahal na Bulakenyo sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na pagtugon sa kanilang mga pangangailan, pagbibigay ng sapat na job opportunities at pagsuporta sa ating mga negosyo,” Fernando said.

The governor also expressed his willingness to open more doors of collaboration with the organization in the hope of securing a brighter and more progressive future for the province.
 
He also announced that he had a recent meeting with Ramon S. Ang, president and chief operating officer of SMB, wherein he said that the NMIA will ground break on July of 2023 which would be attended by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and former President Rodrigo Duterte.  
 
Ang informed Fernando that SMC had already reclaimed 700 hectares in the project site and about to schedule the groundbreaking next year in July.
 

It was learned that Bulacan is already a Hall of Famer as  Most Business Friendly Province, an award recently received by the provincial government from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry which personally handed over by President Marcos to Fernando..

 
Among the attendees at the ball were Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, “Father of BCCI” and former Governor Roberto ‘Obet’ Pagdanganan; members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, PGB department heads headed by Provincial Administrator Antonia Constantino and Bulakenyo entrepreneurs and business owners.
 
The BCCI during the event presented to the governor a token of appreciation, an 18X24 acrylic painting of the Barasoain Church with small sculptured of said image attached made by Al Perez.
