NOLCOM, NICA strengthen ties

TARLAC CITY — Armed Forces of the Philippines Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) strengthened ties for peace and development campaigns in Region 3.

In a courtesy visit to NOLCOM Commander Lieutenant General Ernesto Torres Jr., NICA Regional Director Ma. Luisa De Guzman extended her support to the command’s campaign against local armed conflict. 

She also expressed her assistance to speed up the process in ending armed conflict in the region as Situational Awareness and Knowledge Management cluster head of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.

For his part, Torres thanked NICA for visiting the command and its commitment and active participation to the initiatives of NOLCOM in attaining peace and development in its area of operations.

“Let us continue to strengthen our coordinating efforts in ending communist terrorism, and solidify our endeavor to work in a holistic and integrated manner to deliver much-needed services to underdeveloped, conflict-affected communities, and to achieve inclusive development and lasting peace for the communities in our area of responsibility,” he said.
