New PPO Director to Intensify Intensified Cleanliness Policy Program in Bulacan

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Newly installed Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) officer-in-charge PCol. Manuel M. Lukban vowed to strengthen the “Intensified Cleanliness Policy” (ICP) program of the Philippine National Police (PNP) as he finally took over the command in a simple rites here Friday afternoon.

P/Brig. Valeriano T. De Leon, PRO3 regional director, administered the turn over rites for the assumption of Col. Lukban, replacing Col. Lawrence Cajipe, who designated as as the new acting chief Regional Staff of PR03.

“Tagapamayapa” Class 1990 of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), Lukban, in his acceptance speech promised to fulfill the position entrusted to him by De Leon and devoted his full time to serve his beloved Bulakenyos.

“I am accepting these tasks entrusted to me and I am asking every member of this PPO to work and cooperate with me in serving the people of Bulacan and make this province a peaceful by intensifying the program of our chief PNP Police General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar,” Lukban said.

He also emphasized during his speech that his nine-months stint in this province as provincial director will focus to implement chief PNP’s program.

“Cleanliness in rank at para magkaroon ng higit na pagtitiwala ang ating mga kababayan dito sa lalawigan ng Bulacan, pangungunahan na natin na ma-develop ang personalidad ng ating mga kapulisan na may higit na takot sa ating Panginoon dahil naniniwala ako na ang takot at ang paniniwala sa Maykapal ay magdudulot ng maayos ng higit na magandang pagseserbisyo sa taumbayan,” Lukban added.

In addition, he said that he will strengthen the partnership between the PNP and the community, particularly the Advocacy Support Groups and Force Multipliers, to ensure people’s participation and collaboration.

On the other hand, Col. Cajipe thanked the people of Bulacan for supporting him, his projects, programs in his one year and eight months service as provincial director.

The event was also witnessed by some of Cajipe’s classmate in PNPA Kaagapay Class of 1996 led by Cong. Jorge Bustos.

Prior to his designation as Acting Provincial Director of Bulacan, he was the Chief of Plans and Programs Division of the PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations.

Lukban also served as the Chief of PRO-12 Directorial Staff, Chief of Police of Makati City in 2014, and at the city police chief of Malolos City in 2007.
