N. Ecija farmers get free medical, dental services

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — A farmer community in Brgy. Culaylay, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, benefitted from a joint medical mission conducted by the San Jose City Golden Shield (SJCGS) Eagles Club in collaboration with soldiers of 84th Infantry Battalion (84IB), Ospital ng Lungsod ng San Jose, City Health Office, Philippine National Police and Local Government Unit of San Jose City held recently.

Among the services given were medical and dental check-up that include OB-Gyne, pediatric consultation, optical, tooth extraction, free medicines; and haircut.

The president of SJCGS Eagles Club, Allan Coloma, said that the humanitarian activity was organized by various Eagles Club from different regions that aims to provide medical assistance to far-flung communites.

โ€œEagles Club from different regions converged for a common goal to lighten the daily burden of our farmers by providing them much needed medical and dental care; and necessary medicines. This medical mission was also joined by different organizations and fraternities from the Cityโ€, Coloma said.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Enrico Gil Ileto, Commanding Officer, 84IB, thanked all partner stakeholders for the unending collaborative efforts in the delivery of basic services to all Novo Ecijanos.

He also assured that the 84IB will continuously support and contribute to peace and development in the province.

Maj. Gen. Andrew D. Costelo, Commander of 7th Infantry Division Philippine Army, also extended his gratitude to their partner-stakeholders for reaching out to the farmer community especially this holiday season.
