Mayor Lazatin, 169 city hall employees get Loyalty Awards

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. is among the 169 city hall employees who received certificates of loyalty, and cash incentives for their decades-long service to Angeleños.

Mayor Lazatin bannered the awardees, who gave their utmost dedication and commitment demonstrated through their years of public service.

Lazatin was elected as city councilor in 2013-2019, before manning the post of mayorship in 2019 to present.

“Kayo ang dahilan ng maayos at tapat na paghahatid natin ng serbisyo sa ating mga kababayan, mula noon hanggang ngayon,” Lazatin said.

“May your hard work serve as encouragement to your fellow employees in serving the Angeleños with commitment,” Lazatin added.

A P10,000 cash incentive was granted to those who have been in the service for 10 years, and P5,000 for every succeeding five years of tenure and service rendered by the awardees.

Also present during the awarding ceremony are Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and City Human Resource and Management Office (CHRMO) head, Rowena Yambao.

According to Yambao, the said award symbolizes the hardwork of employees not just for the Angeleños, but mostly for Angeles City. This serves as an honor to the integrity and dedication of the employees on their work.

Yambao also sent her heartfelt congratulations for the employees, especially to Mayor Lazatin.

“Ang loyalty award po ay simbolo ng walang kapagurang pagseserbisyo para sa ating mga kababayan lalong-lalo na para sa Angeles City,” Yambao said. “Kaakibat nito ang pagbibigay papuri para sa dedikasyon at pagsisilbi ng tapat at mahusay ng ating mga empleyado para sa taumbayan.”

“Binabati ko po ang ating mga empleyado lalong lalo na po si Mayor Lazatin,” Yambao added.

This initiative, which aims to recognize the significant contributions of government employees and boost their morale in serving better, is part of the Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence program implemented by the City Human Resource and Management Office, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 06, s. 2002 of Civil Service Commission (CSC) also known as Revised Policies on the Grant of Loyalty Award.

It can be recalled that it was during Mayor Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin’s stint that the City Hall employees first received their loyalty bonus.
