FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – A farm to market road project worth four million pesos under the Local Government Support Fund-Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) was inaugurated in Licab, Nueva Ecija last November 21, 2022.
The said farm-to-market road connecting Barangay Sta Maria and San Jose, Licab aims to bridge development to former conflict-affected communities, the project was made possible with the collaboration of Retooled Community Support Program core team, Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF- ELCAC) of Licab and the 84th Infantry “Victorious” Battalion of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army.
Hon. Eufemia D Domingo, Municipal Mayor of Licab said that the program of the NTF-ELCAC through SBDP is a big help to their constituents, and would help in paving the way to totally end the insurgency problem in the province.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Enrico Gil C Ileto, Commanding Officer of 84IB elaborated that the unit will continuously support the MTF-ELCAC in order to improve the welfare of the people and protect them from the communist terrorist group.
On the other hand, Major General Andrew D. Costelo, Commander of 7ID said, “As an institution that advocates peace and development, the Kaugnay Division will always work hand-and-hand with various government agencies in addressing the needs of the local community”.
