LGU, DSWD, Army troops deliver food packs to “Karding victims” 

‘Karding’ victims in San Luis, Aurora get food packs local government unit and Philippine Army.

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – The 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division together with the Local Government Unit of San Luis, Aurora delivered Foods packs worth P2,000 for each affected family during the Relief Operation conducted to the coastal barangays of San Luis, Aurora on September 29, 2022. 

The said relief operations were conducted in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Aurora, and San Luis PNP.

The troops provided manpower assistance in bringing the food packs to the local community of San Luis, Aurora.

In his statement, Lieutenant Colonel Julito B Recto Jr, Commanding Officer of 91st IB reiterates that the Unit is ready to assist LGUs and concerned government agencies in areas hit by Typhoon Karding. Lt Col Recto also assures that the troops are equipped to serve its mandate to help the LGUs by giving assistance in transporting relief goods and providing additional manpower, and extending security assistance among others especially in hard-to-reach areas.

Meanwhile, Major General Andrew D Costelo, Commander of the 7ID that the Army’s trademark is giving assistance and serving the calamity victims. 

Also, MGen Costelo added that the move underscores the beneficial collaboration of different partner institutions toward the common cause of alleviating the people’s suffering of Aurora after the devastation brought by the recent calamity.
