Lazatin to promote oral health care

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will prioritize oral health care to avoid common dental diseases from spreading, especially to children.

In fact, the city will soon conduct a city-wide fluoride treatment for day care and kindergarten students in all public schools.

This will be joined and led by several private dental clinics, including Smile Make Over Dental of Dr. Teresa Bondoc.

It is the first time in the history of Angeles City that the city’s dentists will join hands with the private dental clinics to deliver the dental care program.

“It is essential to promote dental health especially for the young children to prevent bacteria and diseases at a young age,” Lazatin underscored.

Further, during his first term, a Puso Center three-in-one clinic — with animal bite treatment,  minor surgery, and dental services — has been established.

To recall,  it was during the stint of Former Angeles City Mayor and 1st District Rep. Carmelo ‘Tarzan’ Lazatin’s when health services in the City became more affordable and accessible –  a Dental Clinic inside the City Hall was also established then, and medicines in health centers and Dispensary Clinic in the City Hall were made readily available.
