FORT MAGSAYSAY, NUEVA ECIJA – The 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division conducted a 2-day trek to Mount Pulag, Benguet as part of the pre-anniversary activities that advocates sense of responsibility of the KAUGNAY spirit dubbed as “Kaugnay Environmental Trek” from July 20 to 21, 2022.
The trek was led by the Commander of 7ID, Major General Andrew D Costelo, among the officers and non-commissioned officers of the command.
In his statement, MGen Costelo admires the perseverance of the delegates to reach the summit of Mt. Pulag. Also, MGEN Costelo encouraged not just the participants but the whole 7ID to put into practice the meaning of the KAUGNAY spirit.
The activity aims to promote local tourism in the province and emphasizes the importance of our environment.
The event was also intended to promote awareness of being a physically fit individual and to strengthen the camaraderie among the Kaugnay troops.
“Nakikita ko yung ngiti sa mga kasama ko na umaakyat ay nakakatuwang isipin na gusto nila yung ginagawa namin, makikita mo sa bawat isa yung ibat-ibang aspeto ng KAUGNAY spirit na babaunin nila sa pagbabalik sa Kaugnay Division.” MGen Costelo added.
