FORMER Secretary of National Defense and senatorial candidate Gilbert (GIBO) Teodoro will be President Rodrigo Duterte’s top senatorial pick this coming May 9 elections. Pres. Duterte made this statement during The President’s Chatroom, a one-on-one interview with senatorial candidates broadcasted on PTV4.
“Alam ko ‘yong gusto mo talagang magsilbi sa bayan. Ako, iboboto kita number one,” Pres. Duterte told Gibo Teodoro during the interview.
The Chief Executive has recognized Gibo Teodoro’s wisdom on laws being the 1989 Bar topnotcher and finished his Master of Laws at Harvard Law School. He then passed the New York State Bar examination.
The President also emphasized that Gibo Teodoro is not tainted with any corruption when he served as defense chief.
Pres. Duterte likewise believes that the platform of Gibo Teodoro will usher development and recovery for the country. The senatorial aspirant’s advocacies include expediting COVID-19 vaccination, accessible quality education, maintaining peace and order, food security and sustainability, connectivity, upgrading the military and police, and synergy between public and private sectors.
“Now ako na ang nagsasabi sa inyo na ito ang talagang puwedeng maging senador at he must,” Pres. Duterte said. “Tayo and magkukulang kung hindi natin iboto si Gibo sa Senado.”
