CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando stressed before thousands of students of Bulacan Polytechnic College the importance of having a healthy mental state and expressed his support to gender equality.
He said this during the Gender Concept and Gender Quality Awareness and Stress Management/Mental Health Awareness Orientation held recently in Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here wherein the governor added that having a healthy state of mind can bring positive outlook in life thus making an individual more productive and successful.
“Mahalagang maintindihan natin bawat isa ang kahalagahan at kung paano natin aalagaan ang ating mental health dahil ito’y nakakaapekto sa ating pakiramdam, pag-iisip, at pang araw-araw na pagkilos. Nakakaapekto din ito sa paraan kung paano i-manage ang stress, kung paano makipag-ugnayan sa kapwa, at paggawa ng mga desisyon sa buhay,” Fernando said.
Meanwhile, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Assistant Department Head Anna Liza S. Ileto and Provincial Health Office – Health Education and Promotion Officer II Patricia Ann Alvaro led the discussion on the possible negative impacts of gender inequality and unhealthy mental state on students and how it affects their way of living.
Approximately 2,000 BPC students from different campuses in Pandi, Bocaue, San Rafael, Cities of Malolos and San Jose del Monte, Angat, Obando and San Miguel attended the orientation as well as BPC President Engr. Arman Giron, Campus Directors Victoria M. Sison, Jeffrey Basilio, Edgardo C. Villafuerte, Mary Grace Rafael, Nolly C. Consuelo and Laureen T. Santos among others.
