CITY OF MALOLOS – Recently elected barangay officials in the province of Bulacan pledged their commitment as barangay officials before Gov. Daniel T. Fernando during the Panunumpa sa Tungkulin ng mga Opisyal sa Barangay sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here last Dec. 21 and 22, 2023.
On the first day, a total of 4,480 barangay officials convened from the City of Malolos and the municipalities of Bulakan, Calumpit, Hagonoy, Paombong, Pulilan, Doña Remedios Trinidad, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, and San Rafael.
The next day, 6,624 barangay officials from the Cities of Baliwag, Meycauayan, and San Jose Del Monte along with the municipalities of Bustos, Plaridel, Guiguinto, Balagtas, Bocaue, Pandi, Marilao, Obando, Angat, Norzagaray, and Santa Maria
will also take their oath office.
Fernando congratulated the newly elected officials and challenged them to render a different brand of leadership that will make them excellent public servants who prioritize the needs of their constituents and respective localities.
“Manindigan po tayo para sa isang makabagong uri ng pamumuno. Tandaan po natin—ang kinabukasan ng ating pamilya, mga anak, at ng susunod na henerasyon ay magmumula sa barangay kaya’t napakahalaga na tayo mismo ay maging ehemplo ng mga lider na tunay na magsisilbi sa interes ng nakararami, at hindi para sa pansariling kapakanan,” Fernando said.
