DTI trains potential entrepreneurs in Anao

A total of 18 individuals from Anao town in Tarlac learn the process of starting up a business and making rice delicacies. (DTI Tarlac)

TARLAC CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) equipped about 18 residents of Anao, Tarlac on starting up a business and rice delicacy making.

 

Its Negosyo Center partnered with officials of Barangay San Francisco West in identifying participants which include solo parents.

 

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said they are dedicated to fostering business growth, thus, they reach out and inspire people to start their ventures.

 

“As the arm of the government in developing businesses, we strive to connect to as many individuals as possible to encourage them to consider going into business as their source of income,” she pressed.

 

Mary Lord Fermin, one of the attendees, expressed her gratitude to DTI and the municipal government for teaching new skills to boost their income.

 

“The learning we acquired from this training will surely help improve my livelihood as a solo parent. Thank you to the Department of Trade and Industry and Barangay Council of San Francisco West for making this happen,” Fermin said.

 

Negosyo Center Business Counselor Krizia Anne Dela Cruz discussed the considerations before starting a business, determining one’s product line, and requirements of starting a business.  

 

She also shared the success stories of some entrepreneurs to inspire participants to begin their business. 

 

Resource Speaker Danilo Gacusan, on the other hand, demonstrated the procedure for making puto, kutsinta, and tupig.

 

Negosyo Centers provide assistance, training, monitoring and other support to micro, small, and medium enterprises in the province in their business development needs.
