The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ma. Cristina Aldeguer-Roque led the “DTI Goes to the Regions” at the Bulacan Provincial Capitol Compound.
This activity is part of DTI’s initiatives to strengthen economic development in the regions and to engage micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs), local government units (LGUs), non-government organizations (NGOs), and other development partners.
Secretary Aldeguer-Roque visited the One Town One Product (OTOP) Philippines Hub and the Tatak Bulakenyo Pasalubong Center, then proceeded to the Bulwagang Senador Benigno S. Aquino – Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall for a meeting with stakeholders where she met Bulakenyo MSMEs: Jedidiah OPC, Rose Garcia Longganisa, Bagong Barrio MPC, and Likhang Bulakenyo Entrepreneurs Association.
Bulacan Provincial Administrator Antonia Constantino represented Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Governor Alexis Castro. Secretary Aldeguer-Roque discussed her 5-point agenda for MSME growth: digital transformation, diversification, financing solutions, franchising, and mentorship and coaching.
Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) Head Atty. Jayric T. Amil and Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) President Corina Tengco-Bautista shared the highlights of their accomplishments.
The session concluded with a dialogue raising concerns from the MSMEs and other development partners. PCCI Regional Governor Cristina Tuzon opened the dialogue session, followed by Jedidiah One Person Corporation Darlyn Calderon. Several issues and concerns were raised and have been answered.
After the Bulacan visit, Secretary Aldeguer-Roque proceeds to Pampanga for the Regional Townhall Meeting with the DTI Central Luzon stakeholders.

The DTI Central Luzon Team is composed of Regional Director Edna D. Dizon, Assistant Regional Director Richard Simangan, Bulacan OIC-Provincial Director Maria Cristina V. Valenzuela, OIC-Business Development Chief Lota M. Yasa, and Consumer Protection Chief CocoChanel Garcia-Yap.
