The Department of Public Works and Highways – Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office once again participated in the “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Barangay Mabini, Gerona, Tarlac.
Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil Farala said their involvement in this event was a manifestation of their strong support to the national government’s efforts in bringing its services and programs to the communities.
“A Public Assistance and Complaint Desk was set up during the activity and we received several employment-related inquiries as well as addressed various concerns related to the projects implemented by our office.,” Farala said.
Participating agencies showcased their frontline services and extended assistance to all attendees.
The Gerona Municipal Police Station conducted an information campaign about the National Police Clearance Application and distributed food packs, while the LGU’s Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) processed applications for Senior Citizen’s ID and addressed concerns encountered by solo parents.
A fire safety lecture was also conducted by the local fire bureau.
