The Nueva Ecija 1st District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed paving a section of a local road in Barangay Pag-asa, Rizal, Nueva Ecija.
OIC-District Engineer Osias A. Santos reported that the 0.245-kilometer road project aimed to replace the worn-out portion that had been causing inconvenience to both residents and motorists using the road.
“This project will bring substantial benefits to the public as it establishes vital connections to nearby schools, churches, market centers, and other essential establishments, improving accessibility and transportation convenience for everyone,” Santos explained.
The P4.79-million road project was funded through the 2023 General Appropriations Act, under the Convergence and Special Support Program (CSSP) of the DPWH.
