CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan — A suspected member of New Peoples Army (NPA) was killed in an encounter between government soldiers and guerilla rebels in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on Saturday morning, July 23.
Acting Provincial Director PCol Charlie Cabradilla said that an armed encounter ensued between the joint elements of Intel Platoon 70th Infantry Batallion, Alpha Company 70IB together with 1st and 2nd Bulacan Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) Police Station and 33rd Coy, Regional Mobile Force Batallion 3 against members of Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) (KLG NARCISO) at Sitio Katorse, Brgy. Kaybanban, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
The encounter resulted in the death of a certain Jovel Agudez, legal age, alleged member of KLG Narciso of the New Peoples Army.
Recovered by the government troops were one (1) cal. 5.56 loaded with ammunition, subversive documents and different kinds of personal belongings.
The CSJDM PS together with Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) secured and processed the place of incident.
