With the Clarkhills management having reneged on its commitment to stop demotion and allowed tenants to own their lands, a visibly irked Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. today declared that the city will now proceed with the city government’s plan to expropriate the contested land for Anunas tenants.
This amid the unstoppable demolitions being undertaken by the Clarkhills management violating the agreement reached between them and the Angeles LGU led by Mayor Lazatin.
The Angeles City Council had already allowed Mayor Lazatin to expropriate the land to its rightful tenants.
The Clarkhills management and the Angeles LGU had earlier agreed to stop the demolition until a development plan was presented by the former.
Despite the amicable settlement, the Clarkhills management continues to conduct surprise demolitions in Balubad, Barangay Anunas, which already hurt several residents and continue to raise emotions.
