CITY OF MALOLOS – Eighty-five  trucks transporting minerals exceeding the allowed volume were seized in the Province of Bulacan through the joint effort of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office (BENRO) recently.

Headed by Provincial Director Col. Relly B. Arnedo and BENRO Head Atty. Julius Victor C. Degala, the 85 trucks were apprehended for transporting minerals that surpassed the volume specified in the issued delivery receipt (DR) between January 4-31, 2024.

Governor Daniel Fernando expressed his hope that this violation will act as a cautionary example for other trucking companies and operators, urging them to adhere to the regulations set forth in the province.

Further, the fines imposed to the violators amount to P865,000.00 of which P240,000.00 were already paid, leaving them a total balance of P625,000.00.
