BULACAN PNP INVESTIGATES SHOOTING INCIDENT IN ANGAT

Camp General Alejo S. Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan—The Bulacan PNP is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on April 20, 2024, at 5:45 in the afternoon, at SEM278 Enterprise, situated in Brgy. Marungko, Angat, Bulacan.

 

According to the reports submitted to PCol Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO, the victim was identified as MAJOR DENNIS MORENO y NADUJA, 41 years old, married, a member of the Philippine Army currently assigned to AFP-RESCOM General Headquarters, and a resident of Brgy. San Roque, Angat, Bulacan, tragically lost his life in the incident.

 

According to statements from the secretary of the victim who witnessed the incident, Major Moreno was inside his personal office when an unidentified suspect entered and fatally shot him multiple times using a short firearm. The victim was rushed to Twin Care Hospital for medical treatment but was pronounced dead by attending physician Dr. Sherelyn Trandia.

 

The suspect swiftly fled the scene on a black motorcycle, heading towards an unknown destination.

 

Bulacan PNP has activated a flash alarm and initiated a dragnet operation to locate the suspect. Additionally, the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team from Regional Forensic Unit 3 has been called upon to process the crime scene and gather evidence.

 

The Bulacan PNP activated a special investigation task group to investigate the incident and urges the public with information regarding this incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
