CITY OF MALOLOS – President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. turned over two Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) to the Province of Bulacan through a Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office program during a distribution held at the Provincial Capitol of Pampanga on Friday.
According to the President, this is to ensure that all local government units have vehicles to transport patients and improve access to emergency medical services.
“We have now completed 100% distribution of PTVs to every province, to every city, every municipality of the Philippines,” the president announced.
Meanwhile, Governor Daniel R. Fernando thanked the President for the PTVs which are very needed by the Bulakenyos.
“Thank you, Mr. President, for the assistance you have extended to the Province of Bulacan. First and foremost, there are many patients here in need of help, and this addresses that very need. Rest assured that we will attend to the needs of the people; we will utilize this for the benefit of our fellow citizens,” said Fernando.
This is part of the 34 Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) distributed across Northern and Central Luzon—including Regions 1, 2, 3, and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)—under the PCSO’s Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program. The program aims to bring quality health services closer to more Filipinos by strengthening the capacity of local governments to provide immediate medical transport and emergency response.
Each vehicle is equipped with essential, including a stretcher, spine board, wheelchair, blood pressure monitor, first aid kit, and oxygen system. The vehicle also comes with safety features such as an early warning device and a fire extinguisher.
