THOUSANDS of job openings were offered for Bulakenyos as the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office (PYSPESO) conducted ‘Job and Business Fair (Local and Overseas)’ held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium coinciding the celebration of the 124th Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 2022.
With the theme “Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan: Pagsuong sa Hamon ng Panibagong Bukas”, over 78 employers have agreed to participate in the said activity with 11,000 job vacancies offered as part of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Independence Day Fair.
Earlier in the morning, Re-elected Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando led the flag-raising ceremony and wreath-laying activity in front of the monument of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo at the historic grounds of Barasoain Church commemorating the 124th Philippine Independence Day anchored on the theme “Kalayaan 2022: Pagsuong sa Hamon Ng Panibagong Bukas (Rise Towards The Challenge Of A New Beginning)”.
Fernando, the event’s guest of honor and speaker in his message, emphasized new life under new normal due to the decrease in cases of those affected by the Covid-19 virus in the province.
“Makalipas ang dalawang taon sa panahon ng pandemya, ang Bulacan maging ang buong bansa ay unti-unting nagbubukas sa bagong normal na daloy ng buhay. Mulit tayong nagbubunyi kasabay sa paggunita ng ating anibersayo ng ating Araw ng Kalayaan ang pagkapanalo natin laban sa pandemya,” Fernando said.
“Makabuluhan ang paggunita ng Kalayaan sa taong ito sapagkat ang nakalipas na pambansa at lokal na halalan ay muli tayong nabigyan ng kalayaan para bumoto. Ang bawat araw ng halalan ay kaloob na pamana ng ating kalayaan. Ang bawat mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng kanyang sagradong boto ay kalahok sa pag-ukit ng pamahalaan at pagbuo ng isang bansa,” he added.
The governor continued encouraging Bulakenyos to take advantage of the job and livelihood fair every time the provincial government will hold this kind of event.
Also, present during the early activity were OIC-Director Rosario Sapitan of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP); Vice Governor-elect Board Member Alex Castro; Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Regional Director BGen Mathew Baccay and head departments and employees of the provincial government of Bulacan.
