Bong Go visits Malasakit Center Bulacan
Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go with Bulacan Acting Governor Alex Castro while assisting patient during their visit at the Malasakit Center in Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital in Sta. Maria, Bulacan on Tuesday.  
SENATOR Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Tuesday visited the Malasakit Center at Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital (RMMMH) in Sta. Maria, Bulacan. 
 
After his visit, the senator also led the distribution of Assistance for Individuals on Crisis Situation (AICS) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to over 1,000 solo parents and persons with disabilities in the said town who received P3,000 each held at Barangay Dulong Bayan.
 
Sen. Go was welcomed by Acting Governor Alex Castro assisted by Bulacan 6th District Cong. Ador Pleyto, Sta. Maria Mayor Omeng Ramos and doctors and nurses from the RMMM hospital.
 
Castro expressed his gratitude for the continuous support and medical assistance provided by the senator to the Bulakenyos.
 
During his visit, Go and Castro personally had the opportunity to talk to the patients confined and explained the benefits they can avail in Malasakit Center.
 
The center served as a ‘one-stop shop’ medical center to hasten the delivery of medical services and give access of free medical assistance and medicines for poor patients.
 
In his speech, Go said that patients particularly indigents confined in any hospitals with Malasakit Center can avail of the medical assistance from various partners from the government agencies such as the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippine Health Insurance Corp., and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, which aims to help beneficiaries have a “zero balance” on their medical expenses.
 
The senator continue reiterated his call for Filipinos who require medical assistance to avail of the said government’s medical assistance programs through Malasakit Centers which aims to provide accessible and affordable health care services to those in need.
 
The Sta Maria Malasakit Center was established in 2020 and one of the three centers that existing in the province. 
 
The other center was in Bulacan Medical Center inaugurated in 2018 and in Ospital ng Lungsod ng San Jose Del Monte in Barangay Bagong Buhay, City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) opened early this month.
 
The Malasakit Center is a pioneering initiative that unifies various government agencies offering medical assistance through a streamlined and consistent system.
