Bataan attains a State of Stable Internal Peace and Security

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – The Provincial Government of Bataan, led by Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III, held the Ceremonial Signing of the declaration of his province as State of Stable Internal Peace and Security held at The Bunker, Provincial Capitol, Balanga City, Bataan on February 21, Wednesday.

Bataan is the 3rd province under the 702nd Infantry (Defender) Brigade, Philippine Army led by Brigadier General Gulliver L. Señires PA, that has declared to be in a State of Stable Internal Peace and Security including Tarlac and Zambales.

The declaration initiated by the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) was supported by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bataan through the issuance of Resolution Number 4 series of 2024.

Major General Andrew D. Costelo PA, Commander of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army, in his message, said that the declaration was a testament to the unwavering commitment and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform, as well as the collaborative efforts of the philippine army, philippine national police, and local government units.

“To the brave soldiers and police officers who have demonstrated exceptional courage and determination, I commend every one of you for your unwavering commitment to protecting our communities,” MGen. Costelo said.

He also extended his appreciation to the Provincial Governor and all Local Government Units for their invaluable support and partnership in achieving this milestone by saying that their dedication and cooperation have created the conducive environment that we celebrate today.

Meanwhile, Governor Garcia III, in his message, said that the declaration of the PPOC was timely as it was in line with their strategic plan to be a ‘highly livable Province’ by 2030.

He then extended his gratitude to the Law Enforcement Agencies led by the Army for their unwavering commitment to ensure the sustainment of peace and security in his province that will lead to more progress and development in the future.

“Kailangan ma take advantage natin ang declaration na ito dito sa Bataan para mas dumami pa ang mga mamumuhunan at mas lalong umikot pa ang ating ekonomiya at makatulong po sa ating mga mamayan,” Gov. Garcia III said.

The Province of Zambales is scheduled to have a ceremonial signing of SIPS on March 01, 2024.

Among those who attended the historic signing were PBGen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. Regional Director, PRO3; Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda CESO III, Regional Director, DILG 3; Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V, Provincial Director, DILG Bataan; Hon. Romano L. Del Rosario, SP Peace and Order Committee; Lt. Col. Sonny Dungca, 69th Infantry Battalion, Commander and the rest of the members of the PPOC.
