FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — As part of the 91st Infantry (SINAGTALA) Battalion Philippine Army’s mission, efforts in increasing the awareness of the public on the benefits of the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) has been strengthened. Lecture on such was conducted as they participate in the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery in the municipalities of San Luis, Baler, and Dingalan on May 13, 2022.
LtC Julito Recto Jr., Commanding Officer of 91IB emphasized that the caravan aims to showcase the government’s programs, policies, accomplishments, and efforts to bring about real change and impact in the lives of the people of Aurora.
Apart from the lecture on E-CLIP, the troops of the 91IB also distributed leaflets with regards to Army Recruitment, in order to encourage the youth to be part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and to serve the Filipino people.
“This caravan brings the basic government services down to the grassroots level, offering on-ground activities for the beneficiaries by featuring the ‘One-Stop-Shop Serbisyo Caravan’ from different line agencies,” said LtC Recto.
He then assured that the Army will continue to support all the activities in their area of jurisdiction in the conduct of humanitarian assistance and services to promote government programs for progress and development.
Meanwhile, the Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army, MGen Andrew Costelo PA, said that the Army continues to raise awareness of the benefits under E-CLIP to encourage those remnants of the dismantled NPA units to surrender and give their life a chance to live peacefully.
“With this, bukas palagi ang pintuan ng Philippine Army sa lahat ng mga natitirang miyembro ng NPA na sumuko. Lumapit lamang po sa pinakamalapit na Army unit sa inyong lugar. Nawa’y bigyan nyo ng pagkakataon ang inyong sarili na makapagbagong buhay katulad ng pagkakataon na binibigay sa inyo ng gobyerno,” said Costelo.
