Army’s 69IB take part in Serbisyo Caravan in Ilocos Sur

FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – The Municipal Local Government Office of Cervantes, Ilocos Sur in Partnership with the 69th Infantry (Cougar) Battalion conducted a Serbisyo Caravan that benefited more or less eighty (80) residents of Barangay Libang, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur on August 24, 2022.
 
The activity was participated by the Joint forces of Bravo (Hunter) Company 69th Infantry (Cougar) Battalion, Regional Mobile Force Battalion – 1, Cervantes MPS, DTI-Region 1, and different Local Government Offices of Cervantes.
 
Among the services provided are Medical and dental checkup, Consultation of Issues and concerns, “Balik Eskwela Diskwento” Caravan, distribution of food packs and Hygiene kits, distribution of flashlights, Arnis Sticks, and free haircut. 
 
During the activity, Best Practices for Anti-Terrorism Security Refresher training was conducted wherein a Former rebel shared his experiences and recruitment strategies of CTGs.
 
In his statement, Lieutenant Colonel Marcelo F Valdez Jr, Commanding Officer of 69IB assured that the unit will continue its efforts to support and facilitate the delivery of basic services to the Indigenous People communities in far-flung areas which will contribute in attaining peace and development in the Municipality of Cervantes.
 
Meanwhile, Major General Andrew D Costelo, Commander of 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division lauded the collective effort of the different government offices and the Bravo Company, 69IB for making one of the missions of the Kaugnay Division brought to life.
