FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – In line with the upcoming 34th Founding anniversary celebration of Kaugnay Division. Major General Andrew D Costelo PA, Commander of 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division led the 3.4KM Fun Run and Tree planting activity that was participated by the Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Human Resource of 7ID on July 12, 2022 at 7ID Grandstand, Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.
In his statement, MGen Costelo warmly welcomed the participants of the event and encouraged them to have a healthy lifestyle, and hoped that the activity will be the spark that will ignite the will of the troops, especially those who barely give attention to their health aspect.
The activity aims to promote self-awareness of the Kaugnay troopers in health and active lifestyle and to encourage them to actively participate in environmental advocacy in Fort Magsaysay and also in line units of 7ID.
“In the midst of our campaign to end local armed conflict, let us not forget that we also need to promote the awareness of preserving our environment, let us show our unity to encourage civilian affiliates to reciprocate our advocacy.” MGen Costelo added.
The tree planting activity focused on the Fort Magsaysay Golf Course, intended to develop its feature and ambiance, 70 Agoho trees, 22 Fire trees, 66 bamboo, and 5 Chinese acacias were successfully planted during the activity.
