AN employee of the City Government of Angeles in Pampanga was arrested for allegedly issuing fake vaccination cards to thirteen individuals.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on Wednesday condemned the horrific act of the city hall employee identified as Janine Lising, 21, assigned at the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, and a resident of Barangay Malabanias, Angeles City. She was arrested last August 18, 2022.
The said fake vaccination cards contained the falsified signatures and license numbers of the city’s vaccinators.
“This is an insult to the dedication and hard work of our vaccinators in prioritizing the safety of our kababayans. Ikinalulungkot ko po na nangyari ito,” Lazatin said.
Lazatin also issued a stern warning to other employees against this kind of act.
He urged them to never tolerate this and follow the set guidelines of the government.
The complaint was filed by the Gender and Development Office, which is authorized to handle the Angeles City Government’s COVID-19 Database center before Station 3 of the Angeles City Police Office, where the suspect is now in custody.
