ANGELES CITY — Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel extended a helping hand to a cancer patient from Barangay Cutud.
The two local executives visited Janette Garcia at her home on August 4, 2022 to give personally hand over financial assistance from their talent fees as Beautéderm Ambassadors. Calaguas and Manuel were joined by Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Head Irish Bonus-Llego.
Garcia, 33, is a mother of 3 kids and has been fighting colon cancer.
Calaguas and Manuel met Garcia thru a personal message and post made by her sister, Christine Garcia.
Calaguas shared that Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. also sent personal financial help to Garcia and her family.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office is also now processing her financial medical assistance.
The Garcia family thanked the local executives for reaching out to them, exerting efforts to visit them despite their busy schedules at work.
Her husband, Christopher Balagtas, said the help will prolong the life of his wife, who is bravely fighting cancer.
He is also asking for prayers for his wife to survive the battle.
This is not the first time that the two local executives sent financial medical help. For the past two years, they have been helping kids with hydrocephalus.
