Some 400 visibly elated student-athletes of Angeles City participating in the ongoing Central Luzon Regional Athletics Association (CLRAA) in Tarlac City have welcomed Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. at the Maliwalo Elementary School on Tuesday afternoon.
Members of the Department of Education — Angeles City, led by Schools Division Superintendent Engr. Edgard Domingo, and the student-athletes had also took some selfies and groupies with Mayor Lazatin during the latter’s visit at the billeting school of the Angeles City delegation.
“Pinapakita po natin na ang buong Angeles City po ay nakasuporta sa ating mga atletang kalahok ngayon sa CLRAA,” Lazatin said.
Lazatin, as an athlete himself, furthered that it is important for the student-athletes to know the whole city of Angeles is ready to support them in their respective field of sports.
“Malaking bagay po para sa ating mga atleta na malaman nila na ang buong Angeles City ay nakasuporta sa kanila, dala-dala nila sa puso nila hindi lamang ang pangalan ng siyudad ngunit pati na rin ang suporta ng halos 400,000 na Angeleños,” Lazatin added.
