THE city government under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will hold an exhibit of the costumes which won during the Mutya Ning Angeles 2022 Parade of Beautés at the SM City Clark from Nov. 5 to Dec. 9.
The ribbon cutting ceremony of the said exhibit is led by Vice Mayor Ma. Vicenta Vega-Cabigting, Chief Adviser and Tactician IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, Angeles City Tourism Office-OIC Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office Head Irish Bonus-Llego, Assistant Mall Manager Lourdes Alarcon, MNA Committee Member Rommel Guina, and Costume Designer Richard Strandz.
Among the costumes displayed are the ‘Pamaglala’ of Strandz, the grand winner of the Parade of Beautés worn by Barangay Anunas bet Myrna Esguerra; Flor Cullada Salocco of Carl John Miranda, 1st runner up, modeled by Barangay Balibago bet Dynara Maurer; Jorick Lopez Limpag’s Mayum-U-Ba ‘Yi, 2nd runner-up, worn by Marianne Kim Rada, Barangay Pulung Cacutud candidate; Mi Luz Esperanza designed by Kevin Cayanan, 3rd runner-up and worn by Giannine Danielle Batul of Barangay Capaya; and Ryan Manansala’s Caldere de Cutcut hailed as 4th runner-up, and modeled by Genica Cruz of Barangay Cutcut.
The local costumes took the spotlight in the Parade of Beautés at the SM City Clark Event Centre last Oct. 15, 2022, the first-ever in the history of Angeles City.
Mayor Lazatin congratulated all the designers who participated during the local costume parade.
Lazatin also thanked SM City Clark for staging the said exhibit.
“Ipinapaabot ko po ang lubos kong pasasalamat sa SM City Clark, sa pangunguna nina Ms. Andrea Madlangbayan at Mr. Jerwin Jalandoni, sa suportang binibigay nila sa Mutya Ning Angeles,” Lazatin said.
Part of the aim of the MNA 2022 is to promote the locality including its beauty, creations, and fashion design.
The MNA 2022, co-presented by Beautéderm Corporation will hold its coronation night on Dec. 8, 2022 at Grand Palazzo Royale.
