BAMBAN, Tarlac — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provided business assistance to entrepreneurs from barangay San Roque in Bamban, Tarlac.

This is part of the agency’s Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) which aims to bring government services closer to entrepreneurs to help them expand their businesses.

OIC-Provincial Director Zaida Garibay said that a total of five sari-sari stores were initially evaluated and selected to benefit from the program with the help of the barangay officials.

“DTI, together with the barangay council, will help this community in developing more business,” she noted.

Garibay explained that LSP-NSB involves the barangay unit in enriching established microenterprises through entrepreneurship and disaster resilience activities such as the distribution of business kits.

Aside from this, DTI monitors the beneficiaries through the Negosyo Center to assess their progress.

Representing Bamban Municipal Government, Bamban Municipal Tourism Officer Cherylyn Pascua thanked DTI and urged the beneficiaries to maximize the opportunity given to them in developing their business.
