Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — A high-value drug suspect and his alleged accomplice were arrested after police seized approximately ₱2.72 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, on Thursday night, October 15, 2026.
The operation was carried out by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Mabalacat City Police Station at around 9:45 PM in Barangay Dau, resulting in the arrest of two 35-year-old suspects identified only as aliases “Boy” and “Dondon.”
Authorities confiscated approximately 400 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of ₱2,720,000.00
Police said alias “Boy,” who is classified as a high-value individual (HVI), had been the subject of intelligence monitoring.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Both suspects were taken to Mabalacat City Police Station, along with the seized evidence, for further investigation and proper disposition. Police are preparing appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PRO3 Director PBGEN Jess B. Mendez commended the operating team, saying the arrest highlights the importance of acting on reliable intelligence and maintaining pressure on illegal drug activities.
“Hindi natin hahayaang patuloy na makapasok at kumalat ang ilegal na droga sa ating mga komunidad. Sa bawat operasyong tulad nito, nababawasan ang droga na maaaring mapunta sa ating mga lansangan at makasira sa buhay ng ating mga kababayan, Lalo na ng mga kabataan. Patuloy nating tutugisin ang mga sangkot sa illegal na droga dahil ang kaligtasan ng bawat pamilya ang ating pangunahing layunin (We will not allow illegal drugs to continue entering and spreading within our communities. With every operation like this, we reduce the amount of drugs that could otherwise reach our streets and ruin the lives of our fellow citizens—especially our youth. We will continue to pursue those involved in illegal drugs, as the safety of every family remains our primary objective),” Mendez said.
He also stressed that the campaign does not end with the arrest of drug suspects, as police units must continue identifying sources of illegal drugs and preventing their distribution within communities.
The operation forms part of PRO3’s continuing anti-illegal drug campaign, consistent with the Focused Agenda of Chief, PNP PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., which prioritizes intensified law enforcement against illegal drugs and other threats to public safety.
PRO3 assured the public that police operations against illegal drugs will continue across Central Luzon, supported by intelligence gathering, coordination among operating units, and information from concerned citizens.
