CITY OF MALOLOS – A celebration of love, pride, service, and solidarity took center stage as the first-ever Gawad Gintong Bahaghari Awards highlighted the SingLOVEban – Singkaban Love for LGBT: Barong at Saya Gala Night 2026, organized by the Bulacan LGBT Federation in partnership with the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city on September 10.
The inaugural Gawad Gintong Bahaghari Awards recognized outstanding organizations and advocates for their meaningful contributions to the LGBTQIA+ community wherein LGBTQIA+ REPUBLICA of Malolos was named the first-place winner of the Outstanding LGBT Leader Award, while LGBTQIA+ HAGONOY INC. received the Community Service Excellence Award for its commitment to serving the community.
Several major awards were also presented, including Most Patronized Organization Award to Hagonoy LGBTQIA+ Inc., Youth Empowerment Award and Health and Wellness Advocacy Award to LGBTQIA+ REPUBLICA INC., Cultural Pride Award to LGBT SIkLaB INC., Media and Communication Award to LGBT Calumpit – Municipal Information Office, Lifetime Achievement Award to Creative Guild of Marilao, Innovative Advocacy Award to LGBTQIA+ REPUBLICA, and Ally of the Year Award to 2nd District Representative Augustina Dominique “Ditse Tina” Pancho.
Winners in the various categories were awarded plaques and gift certificates of corresponding amount as tokens of recognition, alongside several special awards honoring outstanding contributions to the LGBTQIA+ community.
In his message, LGBT Bulacan Federation President Peter John Dionisio underscored the growing strength and organization of the LGBTQIA+ community in the province, noting that the federation now has 19 SEC-registered LGBT organizations and has been accredited by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, and vowed to continue working to uplift the morale of the LGBT community.
Meanwhile, PHACTO OIC Department Head Limuel Jan J. Lobederio further assured the community that the support of the Provincial Government of Bulacan and PHACTO will remain steadfast.
“As long as you have dreams that you want to achieve, stories that you want to tell, and contributions that you want to share with our province, we will continue to stand with you,” Lobederio said.
