Camp Captain Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — In line with the implementation of the Safer Cities Program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has intensified its operations across Central Luzon, reinforcing police visibility and public safety efforts in urban and high-density areas.
Police Provincial Offices (PPOs) and City Police Offices (CPOs) have heightened security and visibility measures in their respective areas of responsibility, focusing on public spaces such as transport terminals, commercial establishments, major road networks, and other convergence areas.
From April 6 to 9, 2026, PRO3 recorded a total of 3,265 violators in line with the strict enforcement of local ordinances and public safety regulations under the Safer Cities Program.
Of the total, 1,345 violators were cited for curfew violations, 1,034 for drinking in public places, 823 for half-naked exposure in public areas, and 63 for loud videoke violations.
Most violators were issued warnings, totaling 2,993 individuals, while 272 violators were fined, generating a total of Php 125,300.00 in penalties. Meanwhile, 253 individuals were issued citation tickets, and no cases required formal charges during the period.
Ground units continue to conduct sustained foot and mobile patrols, area inspections, and visibility operations aimed at maintaining peace and order while strengthening the public’s sense of safety.
PRO3 Director PBGEN Jess B Mendez emphasized that the intensified operations reflect the organization’s commitment to responsive and community-centered policing.
“Pulis Central Luzon—nagbibigay ng serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman. Iyan ang pamantayan na patuloy nating isinusulong sa bawat operasyon at sa bawat komunidad na ating pinaglilingkuran,” RD Mendez said.
He further underscored the importance of close coordination with local government units, barangay officials, and force multipliers in sustaining a unified approach to peace and order efforts across the region.
The intensified efforts support the PNP Focused Agenda of Chief, PNP PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly in enhancing police visibility, strengthening public trust, and ensuring safer communities.
As public activity continues to increase across Central Luzon, PRO3 assures the public of its sustained presence on the ground—committed to proactive policing and delivering service that is not only effective, but truly felt by the communities it serves.
