Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. drops by at the Angeles City Hall to support the Gender and Development (GAD) Bazaar being held in celebration of Women’s Month this March.
Lazatin is known for strongly supporting local MSMEs.
During Lazatin’s time as Angeles City Mayor, the City Government held monthly Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita Trade Fairs at the City Hall, in accordance with the Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita Program of the Department of Agriculture.
The trade fairs were organized through the efforts of then EA IV Reina Manuel and ACEDIPO Head Irish Llego.
Lazatin also strengthened the City’s ‘One Town One Product’ (OTOP) Program by waiving fees for MSME owners and organizing regular trade fairs.
During Lazatin’s time, the OTOP store had 20 merchants, who received 100% of their sales from the OTOP store on a weekly basis.
