Camp Captain Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) deployed 1,500 uniformed personnel to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Thursday, to augment security operations for the Feast of the Black Nazarene (Traslación  2026) on January 9.

The send-off ceremony was attended by the PRO3 Command Group, Regional Staff, and personnel from maneuver units, provincial offices, and Regional Mobile Forces.

In his message, PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, emphasized that the deployment signifies readiness, commitment, and responsibility, noting that large-scale augmentation is not new to the Region.

“This is not just a PRO3 task—this is a PNP mission,” Peñones said, stressing the importance of inter-regional security coordination to ensure a safe, orderly, and peaceful Traslación for millions of devotees.

He reminded the contingent of the unique challenges of the operation, urging them to remain disciplined, patient, and professional, and to be guided by the 3Ps of PRO3—Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism—in delivering the Acting Chief PNP PLTGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr’s “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

Prior to deployment, Rev. Fr. PLTCOL Jonathan L. Chy, Regional Pastoral Officer, officiated the Blessing of Troops, praying for their safety, strength, and sound judgment as they perform their duties in Metro Manila.
