CITY OF MALOLOS – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) celebrated its 92nd Anniversary with a series of regionwide job fairs in Central Luzon, including a Job Fair for Local Employment and One-Stop Shop organized by the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PPESO) at Robinsons Malolos on December 5.
Themed as “Tatak DOLE sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Tapat, Nararapat para sa Lahat,” the event showed DOLE’s commitment to creating employment where hundreds of jobseekers explored 3,665 available positions from 25 local companies.
DOLE and PPESO set up a one-stop shop at the fair with partner agencies like the SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, and BIR that allowed jobseekers to quickly process pre-employment documents and access government services.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando expressed his appreciation to DOLE for choosing Bulacan to be one of the venues of their job fairs.
“Lubos po ang ating pasasalamat sa DOLE dahil sa kanilang suporta sa ating lalawigan sa pamamagitan ng pagsasagawa ng job fairs. Nakatutulong po ito ng malaki sa ating mga kalalawigan na hindi na kailangang lumuwas pa upang makapag-apply ng trabaho,” Fernando said. (We are very grateful to DOLE for their support in our province by conducting job fairs. This is of great help to our provincial residents who no longer have to go out to apply for jobs.)
Meanwhile, Joy Amarie M. Bernardo, the first applicant to be Hired-On-The-Spot as a service crew, thanked the organizers for the opportunity.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa DOLE sa pagbibigay ng ganitong mga oportunidad. Sa panahon ngayon, napakahalaga po ng mga job fair tulad nito dahil malaking tulong ito sa mga naghahanap ng trabaho. Sisikapin ko po na pahalagahan ang pagkakataong ito,” she said. (I am grateful to DOLE for providing these opportunities. In this day and age, job fairs like this are very important because they are a great help to job seekers. I will try to appreciate this opportunity.)
DOLE Region 3 Assistant Regional Director Alex Inza-Cruz noted that DOLE conducted simultaneous job fairs from December 2 to 5, 2025, in Tarlac, Bataan, Pampanga, Aurora, and Bulacan for the anniversary.
