Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Bulacan police operatives scored a major breakthrough after arresting three suspects and securing the voluntary surrender of a female co-accused in connection with a foiled carnapping and serious illegal detention incident in Baliwag, Bulacan on September 8.
Authorities identified the arrested suspects only in their aliases as “Boss J,” “Kulas,” and “Nap.” Their co-accused, “Nic,” voluntarily surrendered to Baliwag CPS on September 7, 2025, at around 11:00 PM.
The group victimized a certain “Jason,” 42, a transport service driver from Taguig City, who rented out his red Toyota Innova in Marilao, Bulacan on September 6.
The suspects forcibly seized his vehicle, blindfolded him, and brought him to an inn in San Rafael, Bulacan.
“Jason,” managed to escape by leaping from a second-floor window despite sustaining injuries.
Following Nic’s surrender, a joint operation by San Rafael MPS, Marilao MPS, Baliwag CPS, and Bustos MPS led to the arrest of the three male suspects.
Both the victim and “Nic” positively identified them as those behind the crime.
Police investigation later disclosed that the stolen vehicle was already disposed of to an unidentified buyer through a certain “Mr Bernardo” in Quezon City for Php 150,000.
The Highway Patrol Group is now leading recovery efforts.
Criminal complaints for Serious Illegal Detention and Carnapping are being prepared against the suspects.
In line with the 7 Focus Agenda of Acting Chief PNP PLTGEN Jose Melencio I. Nartatez Jr. on sustaining and enhancing police operations, Police Regional Office 3 Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. lauded the swift action of Bulacan cops.
“Our operations demonstrate the efficiency of coordinated policing and our resolve to bring criminals to justice. Consistent with the vision of our Acting Chief PNP, we will continue to sustain enhanced police operations to protect the people of Central Luzon,” Peñones said.
