PRO3 seized P1.9M shabu, arrested 9 drug suspects

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga-Nearly P1.9-million worth of illegal drugs were seized by law enforcement units in Bulacan, Bataan and Pampanga during intensified campaign against illegal drugs on September  3 and 4, 2024.
Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) regional director BGen Jose Hidalgo Jr. said that during police operations, they were able to apprehend multiple high-value targets (HVTs) involved in illegal drug activities, leading to substantial seizures of illegal drugs and firearms.
 
On September 3, at 9:26 PM, operatives of Mabalacat City Police successfully carried out a buy-bust operation in Barangay Atlu Bola, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, which resulted in the arrest of a certain alias “Len,” 53,, and confiscation of 60 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P408,000.00.
 
At around 10:00 PM, San Jose Del Monte CPS conducted an anti-drug operation in Barangay Sta. Cruz 2, San Jose Del Monte City, leading to the arrest of alias “Tantan”, 40, and seizure of 15 grams of suspected shabu, worth P102,000.00 along with a caliber .22 pistol loaded with live ammunition. 
 
Relatedly, operatives of Meycauayan City Police Station launched a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bayugo, Meycauayan City, resulting in the apprehension of alias “Opel”, 35; alias “John John”, 29; and, alias “Jong”, 26 and confiscation of 37.25 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P253,300.00, and a .38 caliber revolver.
 
Meanwhile, at about 2:00 AM of September 4, a joint operation by the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Mariveles MPS, Bataan PPDEU, and 2nd PMFC led to the arrest of alias “Dey,” 56; alias “Ricky,” 29; alias “Rose,” 36d; and alias “Joy”, 31, single, jobless, in Barangay Sisiman, Mariveles.
 
Seized from the suspects were 165 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P1,122,000.00 along with a caliber .38 revolver and a converted Uzi caliber .22 with live ammunition. 
 
Hidalgo lauded the operating teams and stated, “We remain steadfast in our fight against illegal drugs and criminal activity, making sustained efforts to safeguard the well-being of our communities.”
